Cellulite is a multifactorial problem.

It, as well as the local thickness, usually appear on the thighs, buttocks, stomach and abdomen and are due on the one hand to poor blood circulation and on the other hand to the swelling of fat cells in the respective area.

Therefore the problem is focused not only on the adipose tissue but also on the vasculature. In cellulite, there is a significant alteration of the blood vessels that supply the fat cells and a more general disturbance in the microcirculation of the area where the problem exists.

Mesotherapy is the ideal solution to the problem as it acts directly on the fatty tissue with the aim of lipolysis and combating local fat and cellulite.

What is heterologous lipolysis mesotherapy?

Heterologous lipolysis mesotherapy does not require any anesthesia, it is painless, it is done without incisions in the skin. It consists of a series of injections which are made inside the accumulated local fat with the thinnest needle we have (an "insulin" syringe), while the solution we use contains lipid solvents such as phosphatidylcholine (lecithin), carnitine, organic silicon, which they liquefy fat. This is then removed naturally (via the lymphatic system).

Better results for lipolysis mesotherapy are achieved when we combine it with Autologous PRP Mesotherapy.

It is also indicated for the fight against stretch marks.

What is PRP autologous mesotherapy?

By autologous we mean material from the organism itself. In practice, with a simple blood draw (like the one we do for a blood test), we take a small amount of blood. This blood is centrifuged and separated into red blood cells, plasma, platelets and white blood cells. We utilize the plasma itself and platelet growth factors from the patient's blood, the action of which is activated and enhanced with a special Cl solution2Approx.

This increases the lifespan of platelets and white blood cells, while stimulating the proliferation of skin cells. In this way, the action of the platelets is enhanced and thus they secrete more growth factors and for a longer period of time, while the skin cells multiply and renew.

Services

Their growth factors act synergistically for skin regeneration and more specifically induce:

Angiogenesis (so we achieve better nutrition and oxygenation of the skin), proliferation of skin epithelial cells and differentiation (attraction and creation of new fibroblasts that produce extracellular substance: Collagen, elastin, etc.).

White blood cells deal with infections and secrete their own growth factors that complement and enhance the action of platelet growth factors. The nutrients of the plasma contribute to the nourishment, hydration and firmness of the skin and protect the cells from harmful factors.

Thus, autologous mesotherapy contributes to the good functioning of connective tissue and blood vessels, while heterologous lipolysis mesotherapy liquefies fat and removes it through circulation. The combination of the two methods helps in faster and better results as the removal of fat is greatly facilitated. We suggest alternating these treatments to achieve the best result and eliminate fatty tissue from problem areas.

while the cost of autologous mesotherapy is €80 for each session (once every 25 days).

The fractional CO2 LASER in resurfacing uses a selective scan of the entire skin surface that we want to improve by creating "microthermal therapeutic zones". It stimulates collagen production and at the same time is a very strong stimulus for skin renewal. New skin is achieved, of better quality, with fewer blemishes and signs of aging.

In addition, it is advantageous as a treatment over medium and deep chemical peels because it has a much shorter recovery time. On the contrary, deep chemical peels have a much longer recovery time, greater discomfort for the patient, while the result immediately after application is often frightening.

This specific treatment improves dull skin, enlarged pores and roughness of the skin in general, as well as fine wrinkles, contributing significantly to facial renewal and anti-aging. But where it has to offer the most important help is in the significant improvement or elimination of scars from acne or chicken pox.
After the laser treatment there is redness which lasts for about three days while the complete recovery of the face is achieved in 7-10 days. During this period, the person does not need to be cut off from their activities, they can move around comfortably as long as they are covered with make up.

Before the fractional laser session, a xylocaine cream (EMLA) is applied, which makes the application painless for the patient. After the application, instructions and treatment with anti-inflammatory and regenerative cream are given.

Services

The results of the treatments appear gradually. Maximum improvement is usually seen after 2 months. Then we can repeat a treatment session for an even better result.
The most suitable period of time for the treatments is when the sunshine is at low levels (ideally in the winter months).

The fractional laser is easily combined with many other cosmetological dermatological treatments: botox, injectable hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy, hair removal laser, laser for varicose veins, etc.

"The dioxide laser is a surgical laser. It offers us the possibility with scanning (fractional that is) to deal with acne scars or chicken pox scars that have always been something difficult for a dermatologist or a skin surgeon to deal with. Essentially the laser makes a scan across the entire area of the face that has a problem, so that it goes under the acne scar and punctures it, so that the skin is then lifted. The treatment lasts about half an hour. We do local anesthesia beforehand with a xylocaine cream so that the application is easy and painless for the patient. We prefer to do the treatment in the winter months, because in the period that follows, in the recovery period when the facial reconstruction takes place, we want there to be no sunlight. In cases that are not particularly difficult 1 session is enough, but even in difficult cases with 2 or 3 sessions the results are impressive."

-PDO Lifting Threads. What are "facial threads"?

It's about bio-absorbable threads, the application of which to FACE and BODY, constitutes one innovative and safe method for the combat relaxation and for lifting areas of the body,  without surgery.

The treatment does not replace the surgical lifting, but it is a very good alternative for people who have gentle relaxation the still and significant relaxation-fallibility but do not wish to undergo surgery.

Facial Threads – PDO threads are 100% bio-absorbable. They are made of polypropylene, just like the corresponding absorbable sutures. We have various kinds of PDO threads which either they form one reinforced inner support mesh which supports the tissues of the body in a completely safe way, whether they act with direct pull for erection. The first category includes monofilament PDO and the most powerful spirals (PDO screw). To the second category belong the hooks (PDO COG).

-Can we achieve neck and face contour tightening and support with facial threads?

THE improvement of contour of the face and correcting problems in his area neck ("double chin", sagging in the neck area, wrinkles) is a challenge for the doctor dealing with cosmetic dermatology.

In these areas, botulinum toxin applications often have poor results, while from hyaluronic we only use hydrating hyaluronic which improves, but not to a satisfactory extent, these problems.

Thread therapy provides an innovative solution. In this case we work with reinforced mesh yarns and for an even better result we do simultaneous application of autologous PRP mesotherapy

– facial and lower jaw threads? (double chin)

The area of the lower jaw is of great aesthetic interest to both women and men. THE application of support mesh threads offers very good results in cases of relaxation and fallibility of the skin.

In cases of where there is a large deposit of adipose tissue, should precede local liposuction and then apply threads for support.

In this case we work with reinforced mesh yarns and for an even better result, we simultaneously apply autologous PRP mesotherapy.

-Can facial threads solve "crow's feet" and "bags" under the eyes?

THE area around the eye, either laterally in the so-called "crow's foot", or down in the "bags" is an area where we usually prefer applications botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid hydration

In some cases where the problem that we have to fix is very intense, we complete the above treatment with application of threads support grid. In these cases we see important additional improvement in periocular area and longer duration of effect in the original application.

Also, we apply the support threads as monotherapy in cases where they do not wish to apply botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid in the eye area, so we offer significant support to the area with the threads.

In this application we use single-stranded PDOs (monofilament PDO), short length with very fine needle, due to the fact that the skin of the area is very thin with very rich vascularity.

The application of threads can also be combined with the application of autologous PRP mesotherapy, which significantly enhances the therapeutic effect.

It is an application where we usually prefer botulinum toxin applications. However, in cases where we do not want to do an extensive application of botulinum toxin, when for example there is a risk of eyelid loss or the age is quite advanced, we strengthen the support of the eyebrow with threads.

Also in cases we wish to keep intact all frontal mobility and eye (e.g. to an actor) we avoid the application of botulinum toxin and we support the area exclusively with threads.

In this application we use single-stranded PDOs (monofilament PDO), short length with a very fine needle, due to the fact that the skin of the area has very rich vascularity.

The application of threads can also be combined with autologous PRP mesotherapy, which significantly enhances the therapeutic effect.

It is an application in which we mainly use crochet threads (PDO COG) which give us the possibility of applying direct traction for lifting the face.

We usually use two or three crochet threads on each side which provide immediate results! It is quickly achieved correction of the nasolabial fold , but also his contour of the face, as we have line improvement which ends from the nose to the mouth, but and the fall of the skin of the face which creates "bags".

For an even better result we can use in the same application or later,  single strand support mesh yarns PDO (monofilament PDO) and the most powerful spirals (PDO screw). Furthermore, we can enhance the application with a combined application of autologous PRP mesotherapy.

This application can give very good results in the cases we have relaxation and sagging in the buttocks area, but without much deposition of adipose tissue (which offers excess weight)

In this application we mainly use hooks (PDO COG) which give us the possibility of application direct traction to lift the butt. We usually use three to five crochet threads on each side. For better support we add to the same application and strong spiral mesh threads (PDO screw) with combined application of autologous PRP mesotherapy. The end result is very satisfying.

This application can give very good results in the cases we have relaxation and decline in the area of the chest, but without a large deposit of adipose tissue (which gives excess weight)

In this application we mainly use hooked (PDO COG) which give us the possibility of application direct traction to lift the butt. We usually use three crochet threads on each side. For better support, we add to the same application strong spiral mesh threads (PDO screw) with a combined application of autologous PRP mesotherapy. The end result is very satisfying.

This application can give remarkable results in cases where we have relaxation in the abdominal area both in anterior region as well as sideways ("love handles"), but without much deposition of adipose tissue

In this application we use hooks (PDO COG) which give us the possibility of application direct pull for erection. For better support, we add to the same application strong spiral mesh threads (PDO screw) with a combined application of autologous PRP mesotherapy.

Depending on the severity of the incident is decided what thread class will be more involved in the application. The end result is very satisfying. Of course, as in any treatment for abdominal relaxation, one must also participate with changes in the diet plan and adding some form of exercise in his daily life.

THE relaxation in the arms employs many middle aged women, especially if they have significant changes in their body weight. It is an area where it is difficult to perform surgery that goes unnoticed, so the interest turns to non- (or minimally) invasive methods.

In this application we mainly use strong spiral mesh threads (PDO screw) with combined application of autologous PRP mesotherapy. Depending on the severity of the incident we can add hooks (PDO COG), which give us the possibility of applying direct traction for rectification in the same application. The final result is very satisfying.

THE mechanism action of thread therapy is as follows: After inserting the threadsa natural network of elastic fibers and collagen fibers is created around them (foreign body reaction). That explains it gradually increasing effect of treatment (the maximum effect observed after them 6 months from the application) as well as that the Results Treatment they last long, depending on the type of threads that will be used for the application.

Summarizing, the results of treatment they last much longer from the biodegradation time of the threads we introduce due to the composition of this "sheath" of collagen and elastic fibers that surrounds the PDO thread. At this point, autologous PRP mesotherapy (Platelet Rich Plasma) comes to strengthen and complete the healing with PDO threads.

The autologous growth factors provided by PRP therapy enhance this endogenous collagen production reaction with the result that is strengthened quantitatively and qualitatively  and regarding its duration. THE application of PRP is done at the same time with thread insertion, with the injection being done through the thread guide.

The treatment lasts from 30 to 45 minutes. In this time we should add an additional 30-45 minutes in case it happens local anesthesia with application of lidocaine anesthetic cream to make support grid creation application.

In the case of applying hooks (PDO COG) this extra time is not needed, because there is no need to apply lidocaine anesthetic cream. Injectable anesthesia with lidocaine is preferred, which works immediately.

In the case of creating a support mesh with threads, the immediately noticeable result is of the order of 20-30%. The effect of the treatment is constantly enhanced as the body creates the "sheath" of collagen and elastic fibers that surround the PDO thread. The maximum effect is observed in about six months and lasts about a year.

In the case of straightening and direct traction threads, the result is immediately noticeable it is impressive! The result of treatment lasts more than 1.5 years because these threads are significantly more reinforced in construction.

The app IS NOT not painful at all, because it is possible or by applying local anesthetic cream lidocaine (in the case where threads-mesh will be applied) either with injectable anesthesia with lidocaine in case we will use hooks (PDO COG) for immediate traction and erection.

Immediately after treatment, it has been reported mild irritation at the entry points of the threads. We immediately return to the activities us even without the application of any masking agent. During application in person and especially around the eyes or at forehead because it is an area with particularly increased vascularity and thin skin, some juicing may occur, which will subside in a few days (7-10 days). In these cases we apply ice cooling immediately after application and in the following days we apply cream with arnica.

The application of threads can be combined with classic injectable facial treatments (Botulinum toxin or Hyaluronic implants for filling wrinkles) as well and mesotherapy either with hydrating hyaluronic or autologous PRP mesotherapy.

Of course, they are also combined with other treatments that improve surface imperfections, such as peels (chemical peelings with fruit acids, with microcrystals or even diamond). In addition there is avail from the combination of threads with classic treatments because when the threads are applied to areas such as the forehead or "crow's feet" (classic botulinum toxin application areas) the effects of botulinum toxin are enhanced and prolonged over time.

THE complete absorption of the threads ensures that they will not be created granulomas or others allergic reactions in the skin tissue as seen with earlier non-absorbable thread technologies.

Recommended avoiding taking alcohol and aspirin (Salospir, Aspirin) and the rest anticoagulants (Sintrom, Plavix, Iscover)  3 days ago and 3 days later the operation.

Patients are advised to avoid intense chewing at least 24 hours post. In the first 3 days it is good to use them 2 sleeping pillows. Face cream can be applied with gentle movements. The patient should avoid pressing the face in the first days, as well as to remove the make up with strong movements. Recommended avoid exercise for 7 days, while in the case of engaging in violent sports that have a high probability of facial injury, the recommended abstinence period increases to 6 weeks

No, the patient can recover immediately after treatment, in his daily activities even without using any concealing product (make up)

In the case of straightening threads and immediate attraction the effect of the treatment lasts more than 1.5 years because these threads are significantly more reinforced in construction.

Whenever we wish. We can add threads to the same area where the application was made or work in a new area whenever we deem it appropriate. We usually recommend that fill in threads in the same area a month later to be able to better evaluate the result of the initial application and to have the added benefit of repeating autologous PRP mesotherapy.

Applications with absorbable threads, KEEP our SELF-CONFIDENCE and our NATURAL BEAUTY, really!

Laser Hair Removal - How it works

The lasers used for hair removal emit a monochromatic light with a specific wavelength (the Alexandrite we use works at 755nm) which is selectively absorbed by the melanocytes found in the hair. It causes in this way selective destruction of the hair follicle (hair root) located inside the skin. The hair shaft (the part of the hair that projects outside the skin) does not interest us at all in this application, that is why in the instructions we give we suggest that they come with the area recently shaved or with the hair shaft cut with scissors.

Types of laser hair removal

Three different technologies are used for medical laser hair removal. The Alexandrite laser that emits at 755nm (this type of laser we use in our clinic because we believe it has the best result while also offering the most painless application), the diode (Diode) laser that emits at 805nm and the long pulse Nd -Yag Laser at 1064nm (which is essentially only aimed at very dark and black skins and is the most painful laser in its application)

But we should know that not all Laser Alexandrite hair removal machines are the same! The differences concern the effectiveness of the application (it depends on how well it can be customized based on the parameters of each case), how painless the application will be (this depends on how good the cooling system that comes with the machine), the time in which the application is completed (this has to do with the speed of the machine but also the size of the head-spot size it can support)

In our clinic we use the top Lutronic Clarity 2 Alexandrite laser which excels in all the above areas and is also so effective that no repeat session was needed. It has all FDA, CE certifications

We would recommend that before you trust somewhere to apply your laser hair removal, you should also be interested in the quality of the machine that will be used.

When should laser hair removal be done for medical reasons?

In some patients who have very thick or even hard hair after depilation with the classic methods (shaving, waxing, depilatory creams, depilatory machines), intense folliculitis (red inflamed pimples with pus) is created in the area. This folliculitis can be due to a staphylococcus that enters the follicle (root) of the hair due to the microtrauma caused by the classic hair removal methods or to a hair that "turned" inside the skin

This folliculitis especially in people with a dark skin type can leave permanent spots on the skin (post-inflammatory hyperpillosis). In these cases, we recommend laser hair removal to have a definitive solution to the issue of unwanted hair growth.

Also some patients have sensitive skin that shows severe irritations and allergic reactions (eg contact dermatitis) from depilatory creams and these patients benefit greatly from laser hair removal

In addition, patients with a history of papillomas or warts (infection of the skin by a virus of the HPV family) have a significant benefit from laser hair removal because it helps a lot in preventing the lesions from spreading due to injury.

Finally, patients who suffer from or have already been operated on for "coccygeal cyst" benefit greatly from the permanent hair removal of the area which helps to prevent the disease from recurring

Instructions (preparation) before applying laser hair removal

It must not be preceded by any depilatory method that removes the hair for a period of one month before the application of the laser. This is because if a wax or silkepil is used before the application of the laser, they uproot the hair along with its root, so the laser will not be able to target the root of the hair and achieve its effective destruction. For the same reason, it is not allowed to use wax during the entire time we are doing laser hair removal (in between applications we can use a razor if this is necessary).

Also, the area to be depilated must be shaved (or the facial hair cut with scissors) 2-3 days before the application of the laser. This ensures that the energy of the laser will be utilized exactly where it should be (ie at the root of the hair) and not at the hair shaft (the part of the hair that protrudes above the skin). Also, if the laser "hits" the hair shaft, it will melt and create a burn mark on the surface of the skin, which is also undesirable.
As a conclusion, we must shave the area 2-3 days before each application, and avoid for the entire duration of the laser treatment hair removal methods that remove the hair.

Immediately after the application of laser hair removal, we apply a moisturizing soothing cream which relieves the mild irritation caused by the application (from the "bursting" of the hair root inside the skin). At home, the use of a simple moisturizer can be continued for 2-3 days. No additional care is required

First of all, we should clarify that IPL or pulsed light or photolysis is misleadingly referred to by various institutes as "laser hair removal". Photolysis is a completely different technology. It produces a wide range of radiation from 500-1200nm (it is not monochromatic radiation with one wavelength like the laser) so that it cannot be adjusted and accurately predicted the depth of the skin where the hair removal is applied. The energy produced by IPL is smaller and more diffused. Also, the way the laser is set up to make the application can be precise and personalized to be ideal for each case (depending on the combination of skin color and hair color), while IPL works better on specific (open) types skin. For this reason, the laser is safe to use on all skin types (if the operator has the required experience). The laser requires much fewer sessions to achieve the final result because it is a more powerful medical machine and can transfer more energy to the target location (hair root). Also, due to better penetration of the laser (compared to IPL), it can also be effective on larger diameter (thick) hairs that are deeper in the skin (e.g. on the back). Finally, the laser excels because it has a much better cooling system which makes the application painless

Excessive hair growth can be due to heredity, endocrinological (hormonal) disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance, thyroid problems. But it can also be due to specific medication treatments that we have started, to the normal aging process as well as excessive use of depilatory methods which affect the root of the hair.

Usually before we start the laser treatment we do an investigation (laboratory check with blood tests, gynecological ultrasound) for the pathological causes of hirsutism especially when there is excessive hair growth or when there is hair growth in areas that should not be there (in the jaw-chin area in women or below the navel in women etc.)

There are no significant absolute contraindications. Relative contraindications for laser hair removal are a history of photodermatitis and taking photosensitizing drugs, although we have successfully performed sessions in such more difficult cases. Related contraindications are pregnancy and lactation, and we ask for the consent of a gynecologist, although the laser does not pose any risks to the fetus and newborn.

For people who have permanent tattoos, we avoid doing treatment on the tattoo in order not to alter the color

Also, in people who have many pigmented moles (olives) on the skin, we avoid treating the olives that have melanin in order not to injure them

A relative contraindication is a history of epileptic seizures, as the flashes caused by the laser can trigger an episode. Of course, in patients who are under treatment and we completely protect them from seeing these flashes, we do not face any problem.

Another contraindication is tanned skin from exposure to the sun or artificial light sources (solarium). This skin has more melanin and is more at risk of burning. It is good to avoid hair removal or, in case of a small color change, to do the session more conservatively (lower energies) and with a special setting of the laser so that it is safe.

The only side effect seen is a little redness and the formation of small bumps (bumps of skin right where the hair follicle openings are on the skin) which can be mildly itchy. These are fully reversible and only last for a few hours after treatment. Essentially, this is not an unwanted effect but the result of the "explosion" of the hair bulb (root), with the effect of the laser, inside the skin (it means that we have achieved effective hair removal!). They are easily treated by applying a moisturizing anti-inflammatory cream to the skin after application.

The fears many have that underlying non-melanin structures and organs such as lymph nodes and mass gland (breast) may be affected are completely unfounded.

Practically hair removal is done in every area where there is unwanted hair growth. On the face (upper lip, cheeks, chin, sideburns, eyebrows) but also on the body such as on the hands (arms and forearms) on the armpits, bikini, on the legs (thighs, shins) but also on the back and chest, nipples and belly.

apotrixwsi me laser

The results of laser hair removal are impressive. It leads to a reduction in hair growth from the very first session. The exact number of sessions depends on reasons that we analyze in another section.

apotrixwsi me laser

There is no contraindication regarding the age at which we can start the application. The reason we usually start after puberty is so that the sex hormones have stabilized and we get a better result. In any case, the laser cannot cause any harm, it does not affect internally at all, neither the development of the child, nor the development of hormones. It is only at young ages that a greater number of sessions may be needed. In any case, we also calculate the burden on the child's psychology from unwanted hair growth.

The energy of the hair removal laser is absorbed by the melanin. So the application works best on brown and dark hair. In blonde hair, we will get a result with special parameterization of the application, but more sessions will be needed. Finally, the application cannot work on completely discolored (white) hair.

Of course it can be done. One of the innovations of the Alexandrite Clarity 2 laser is that the application can be done even on tanned skin throughout the year.

Most patients need at least 5-6 sessions spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Also, in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, very good regulation of the disease is needed and the restoration of hormone values to normal levels so that we can expect effective hair removal.

The areas with the best laser hair removal results are the bikini area, armpits and legs, while the face can persist longer. The result of permanent hair removal comes later in men who have a greater amount of circulating androgens in the blood.

In any case, the continuous use of sunscreen with a protection index of 50 on the face and body is mandatory when exposed to the sun after the sessions.

The older generation lasers needed every 15-20 days a repeat session, after the regular session. In addition, it was also a Marketing trick to sell more packages to the beauty salons. In our clinic no repeat session is required, the Alexandrite laser we use is of the latest generation and hair loss is immediate as are its results

No. The application is made with simultaneous very strong cooling of the area with cold air. This cooling guarantees safety for the treatment and painless treatment. Only a small percentage of patients resort to the use of anesthetic cream (EMLA) only for the bikini area, which is considered the most sensitive to pain.

It can be done laser hair removal during pregnancy?

Related contraindications are pregnancy and lactation, and we ask for the consent of a gynecologist, although the laser does not pose any risks to the fetus and newborn. Of course, the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy often make laser hair removal ineffective. And for this reason we prefer to start or continue (in case there was a pause) hair removal sessions after pregnancy

More clearly hair removal packages are more economical than waxing individual areas. Ask us for a quote online through our website or better yet stop by the practice for a free consultation visit.

Because in our clinic we use the leading Alexandrite laser from the American company LightAge, the Epicare LPX, which excels in all areas of safety, efficiency and speed. It has all FDA, CE certifications.

In addition, the partners who make the application are trained and very experienced.

Tattoo removal is an application that has increased appeal nowadays. The reasons can be purely professional (candidates in military schools-police-coastal police, flight attendants) but also social.

Many times, however, the person himself regrets it at some point in his life or immediately after the application if the result was not what they imagined.

With the evolution of lasers we can offer significant help in this difficult goal of tattoo removal.

Tattoo removal with specialized lasers

Before the age of lasers in dermatology, we attempted to remove tattoos with destructive methods such as skin scraping, strong chemical peels (TCA), cryotherapy, and surgical excision.

Lasers gave a new impetus to this application. By using the Q-Switched Nd YAG laser, a laser specially made to treat the pigment (color) contained in a tattoo, it is possible to treat almost all tattoo colors, without causing burns or unsightly scars on the patient's skin.

This laser can and does selectively treat the different colors of which a tattoo can be composed, leaving intact the adjacent tissues with a process called selective photothermolysis (as opposed to non-specialized lasers, e.g. CO2 surgical lasers, fractional, skin regeneration laser, Alexandrite laser, etc.) Only in this way can the best aesthetic result be achieved.

The Q-Switched YAG laser produces a beam of light, which is selectively absorbed by the grains of the tattoo pigment. This causes the pigment to break down into tiny pieces, which are recognized by the body's defense cells (phagocytosed) and then slowly eliminated through the lymphatic system (natural way of removing waste from the body). The process takes several weeks, which is why more than one session is required.

How long does a Q – Switched YAG laser tattoo treatment session take?

The duration of the application is usually 15 to 30 minutes and depends on the size of the tattoo. To this time we should add another 30-45 minutes if local anesthesia is performed using xylocaine anesthetic cream.

Is the treatment painful?

With the use of local anesthesia, the patient feels only small pinches on the surface of the skin, which are usually not painful. Local anesthesia can be done using a local anesthetic cream, although we usually prefer injectable xylocaine (alone or with adrenaline) which has a much better effect and immediate onset of action

Many times in parallel with the application of the laser we use cold air provided by the cryo6 zimmer and it offers additional anesthesia in the area where the application is made

Instructions we give before applying laser tattoo removal

Avoid exposure to the sun or artificial light sources (solarium) for the previous 4 weeks. If the area where the tattoo is located is covered with hair, shave the area the day before.

What do we see immediately after treatment? Instructions for after application.

The part of the skin containing the tattoo is temporarily slightly swollen for an hour or two, immediately after the treatment, and there may be whitish discoloration and small blisters with minimal serous blood content which will then form crusts (these crusts also contain some of the pigment of the tattoo. They should not be removed by force because there is a risk of creating a scar).

Avoid getting the area wet for the first 24-48 hours and then shower carefully so as not to injure the area (which contains crusts).

With the use of an appropriate antibiotic-anti-inflammatory ointment, the skin irritation subsides within the next few days and the moist healing process is facilitated. During the first days, we also cover the area with a pad (this is necessary for the first 72 hours, while after that we can leave the area open). This is followed by the use of a moisturizing-regenerating ointment for the next period of time until the next session. We see the color of the tattoo fade gradually and the texture of the skin is completely restored. Then we are ready for the next session (around 4 weeks time)

During healing, it is best to avoid very tight clothing in the area to avoid friction. We also avoid the use of perfumes in the area as well as anything that offers intense heat (very hot water in the bathroom, sauna-hammam, sunbathing or solarium and of course swimming in the sea or pool (avoid soaking)

This depends on the type of pigment (quality and color tone), the amount of pigment and the depth it has been placed into the skin. Amateur tattoos may require four-six sessions if a correct biodegradable surface pigment has been used, while there are cases where the color did not fade with application because the pigment (ink containing metal ions) was unsuitable. Professional tattoos can take six to eight treatments and sometimes more. Black and blue tattoo colors respond better, while reds fade more slowly, green tattoos fade even more slowly and difficult and may need more treatments. The yellow color of the tattoos also does not respond easily. Sometimes, tattoo pigment can be embedded so deeply in the skin that it is impossible for the body to remove it completely, although significant fading of the color can be achieved.

Old tattoos (over 5 years old) in which the color has faded require fewer sessions than a new one with vivid colors.

After the application, he can immediately return to his daily activities with very little care of the area where the application was made.

Avoid getting the area wet for the first 24-48 hours and then shower carefully so as not to injure the area (which contains crusts). We use antibiotic-anti-inflammatory ointment for the first 72 hours with the area closed with a special pad (to avoid infections). Then we can have the area open and we use a moisturizing-regenerating ointment for the next period until the next session

The area where the laser tattoo removal session took place is an area that has received micro trauma and is therefore at an increased risk of developing infections. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (spotting) can also develop in the same area, which is more often seen in people with dark skin color or hypopigmentation (white spot). Also, in people who have a predisposition to make hypertrophic scars and keloids, laser tattoo removal treatment also carries this risk (which is, of course, much smaller compared to classic destructive methods such as skin scraping).

With the use of this specialized type of laser, the possibility of creating a scar is extremely low but cannot be completely excluded. At this point, it is crucial to correctly follow the instructions we give after the laser application (such as not touching the crusts that are created immediately after the treatment). In people who have a history of a predisposition to the creation of hypertrophic scars and keloids, we either avoid doing the application, or we follow more conservative settings, in which case we will need more treatment sessions.

In our clinic we have the most modern and sophisticated Q-Switched Nd YAG laser 1064/532nm (KTP) the Q-Clear of the American laser glue company LightAge. Also, we have a lot of experience in this particular application. In cases where the tattoo contains difficult colors (green, red, yellow) we perform a free test session on a part of the tattoo to make sure we can be effective during application.

What types of skin are they applied to and what problems do they solve?

Over time, certain imperfections appear on the skin.
These are called internal ageing/chronoaging and are more evident in women and men with light phototypes (light skin color and skin that reddens easily and is difficult to tan) and in skins that are thin and normal/dry (our oily skins "suffer" with acne at a young age, but show greater resistance over time).
In addition, the chronic and cumulative exposure to the sun (ultraviolet UV radiation) for professional reasons (working in the countryside, eg farmers) or leisure (various outdoor sports) adds to the above the photoaging which burdens our skin.
Peelings are aimed at people who notice the first signs of time or the sun on their skin.
These can be fine wrinkles, freckles and discolorations from the sun (skin spots), hyperkeratosis (hardening of the skin), dry and dull skin.

peeling

The peelings will renew the outer layer of the skin (keratin layer of the skin) and will cosmetically/aesthetically improve the skin, which will feel more radiant, soft, fresh and healthy. There are also special peels aimed at patients with acne and in addition to the medication they receive, they offer seborrhea regulation (regulation of the skin's oiliness and its tendency to retain sebum), while other deeper peels offer the aesthetic improvement of scars left by difficult forms acne.
Finally, special peelings that offer whitening also help patients with melasma (spots that appear on the face after pregnancy, etc.) for the aesthetic improvement of their problem.

Can peeling be done during the summer months?

Mechanical peeling with microcrystals has no restrictions as to the season in which it is done. Strong chemical peels are preferable to be done in the months when there is no intense sunshine (autumn to spring). Despite all these newer chemical peels, which are milder in terms of the irritation and peeling they create, they can also be done in the summer months with proper protection from the sun.

Does it need any special preparation before applying them?

When we peel purely for cosmetological reasons to renew the skin, no preparation is required before the patient. Before applying the peeling chemical, the skin is thoroughly cleaned with a suitable cleanser-antiseptic to remove sebum, make-up and various impurities from its surface. After the skin has dried, the solution with which the peeling will be done is applied. This application causes a controlled irritation to the skin in order to renew it.

In cases where the dermatologist applies a therapeutic peeling to treat discoloration (stains) or acne, before the application of the peeling, medication has been applied by the patient at home. Thus, the skin is therapeutically prepared so that the peeling has an even greater effect. The patient will continue this treatment after 3-5 days (when the peeling irritation will disappear) until the next peeling application.

Among the things you should avoid 1-2 weeks before the application are electrolysis for facial hair removal, strong exposure to solar radiation (sunbathing) and solarium.

Undesirable effects from superficial peelings can be hyperpigmentation after exposure to solar radiation, so a sunscreen cream with a high sun protection index should be used at all hours of the day to reduce the possibility of this unwanted effect. In case of severe skin irritation with intense redness and peeling, the patient can use a regenerating-moisturizing cream in the following days after application. We recommend gentle cleansing of the face with a soap-free product (on the face always with cold water), gentle drying with a towel, and moisturizing twice a day. It is good to avoid exposure to intense heat for the next few days (aerobic exercise, hair dryer for drying hair, sitting near a fireplace, etc.)
In medium peelings or deep peelings, the instructions after the treatment are more and the patient should pay attention to more things and has some restrictions.

• Use of mild painkillers, such as paracetamol, if needed
• Apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment 2-3 times daily to reduce the risk of infection
• If you suffer from severe itching during recovery, antihistamines are recommended to stop the symptoms
• Sleep on your back with your head propped up on a few pillows to reduce swelling during sleep

· not the hair dryer too close to the face when drying the hair,

· not too hot water in the bathroom and especially in the face to be washed with cold water

· Do not sit near stoves, radiators, or over the stove when cooking. Be very careful of the iron vapors when ironing

· Avoid vigorous physical activity for about two weeks, thus allowing smooth recovery

• Avoid scrubbing your face vigorously

· Avoid electrolysis or waxing for at least one month after peeling

· Start using a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor, and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 6 weeks

· Contact your doctor immediately if you notice signs of infection or color changes
What should I expect immediately after applying the peels? The next days? Recovery time;

· Mechanical peels with microcrystals cause a mild irritation after application, which is treated with a moisturizing-regenerating cream that can be used during the following days. Micro-crystal peels have virtually no recovery time, and offer an immediate return to work and activities

· In chemical peels, the development after application and recovery times depend on the depth of the peel.

i. Superficial peels usually experience mild redness and possibly mild peeling within the next 3-7 days (this peeling may not even be noticeable in very resistant skins). The most intense redness observed after the end of the procedure disappears in about two hours and only a very mild redness remains. Some patients do not experience any visible signs as a result of the previous treatment, but the benefit of peeling is there.
ii. In medium-depth and deep peelings, a brownish crust may occur more often, which gradually falls off. The speed of healing is a qualitative element of the skin but also depends on age (older skins tend to heal less quickly).

iii. Deep chemical peels are very invasive, cause a chemical burn and require long recovery times (15-30 days). They also require specific post-operative medication to prevent infections. For these reasons we do not recommend them as a treatment.

No. It is not even necessary to apply anesthetic cream (xylocaine) before the application. The moisturizing mask that we apply after application provides deep hydration and fights the burning sensation caused by peeling.

Peels can also be combined with other deep antiaging applications (Botox, hyaluronic implants to fill wrinkles) which offer impressive results. Botulinum toxin prevents the formation of expression lines while hyaluronic fillers fill deep wrinkles and loss of volume by correcting the geometry of the face. And the rest of the anti-aging applications that are done in depth, such as the application of support mesh threads or direct traction and lifting threads (lifting) are perfectly legitimate to be combined with the application of peelings.

From the anti-aging applications concerning the surface of the skin, peelings are perfectly combined with autologous mesotherapy (PRP) which, with the growth factors it contributes, contributes to the greater renewal and restoration of the skin and to the reduction of recovery time after peelings.

Peeling should not be applied in the following cases:

· During pregnancy and breastfeeding, we prefer to do only mechanical peeling with microcrystals

· In very sun-exposed skin which has undergone a lot of thinning (atrophy)

· Patients with herpes simplex in a flare-up (in case the patient has recurrent episodes of herpes, it is advisable to take prophylactic antiherpetic treatment before peeling)

· Patients with a history of allergy to chemical peeling substances. In this case, we choose another type of chemical peeling or prefer the completely safe mechanical microcrystal peeling

· In patients with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scars

· In patients who present hives or other infection on their face

· In patients who have used within the last 6 months isotretinoin as a treatment for acne

Mechanical peeling is also known as peeling with microcrystals or dermabrasion.

It is a treatment that offers youthful skin, ideal skin cleansing, deep rejuvenation and skin radiance.micro-dermabrasion

It is done with a special machine that shoots microcrystals (microdemabration) onto the outer layers of the skin (epidermis). In this way, it achieves the breakdown of the old stratum corneum and the mechanical detachment of dead cells (peeling). The result of this removal is that the new healthy cells of the skin come out and the skin becomes soft, the deep cleansing of the skin , the hyperemia of the skin (due to the improvement of blood circulation) and in the long term after repeated sessions the fibroblasts of the skin are activated for the production of collagen-elastin with a significant contribution to antiaging.
Thus the skin acquires: Softness and brightness, improved elasticity, a general rejuvenation that offers a velvety, shiny and pleasant appearance
The advantages of the treatment are that it is done without chemicals (so there is no possibility of any allergic skin reaction), it is painless, it is done without injury, it does not require recovery time (staying at home) as deep chemical peels require, nor are special protective measures required after application. It can be done without season restrictions, even in summer

When mechanical peels are applied with a therapeutic protocol (treatment of acne, discoloration, etc.), 4-5 sessions are usually required, which should be done every 30 days, depending on each case. But when it is done purely for reasons of rejuvenation and antiaging, no specific number of sessions is required. It can be repeated whenever we want for a good renewal and stimulation of the skin.
The duration of each treatment is 15-20 minutes.

Chemical peeling is the application of one or more chemical exfoliating agents to the skin with the aim of either treating some skin diseases or improving the aesthetics of the skin. The result is the removal of the outer layers of the epidermis or the dermis, resulting in the regeneration of the skin, and in the long term, after repeated sessions, the fibroblasts of the skin are activated for the production of collagen-elastin, increasing the thickness of the skin and improving its texture skin which significantly contribute to antiaging.xhmiko-peeling

They are used in conditions such as solar elastosis, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, actinic hyperkeratosis as well as for the improvement of superficial scars. But apart from skin diseases, peelings are also used for aesthetic anti-aging reasons, as with peelings the quality of the skin is significantly improved and the fine wrinkles of the face are smoothed, achieving long-lasting aesthetic benefits.

Superficial Peelings:
They help improve the appearance of skin texture in problems such as fine lines-wrinkles, mild acne scars, "age spots" (brown spots, perhaps from sun exposure) as well as helping to balance pigmentation inhomogeneity of the face.

They are the most common types of peeling and contain some type of hydroxy acid, with exfoliating properties. Different types of hydroxy acids are available in this market. These include alpha hydroxy acids such as natural lactic acid and tartaric acid. Salicylic acid, is a beta hydroxy acid, and is unique among hydroxy acids in that it can penetrate deeper into the sebaceous glands and cause exfoliation even in the oily areas of the face. For this reason, it has been used for years by dermatologists to treat acne in people with very oily skin.
Glycolic Acid: in various concentrations (10%-90%) and different pH levels (acidity levels).
Sometimes combinations of different hydroxy acids are used.
Reduced intensity TCA peeling (Trichloroacetic acid) can also be used to induce superficial peeling.

Medium Peels:
They reduce fine lines, acne scars, and some pigmentation problems. These include using stronger peels. The most common of these is TCA which is usually used in a concentration of 25-35% to avoid possible side effects.

Deep Peelings:
They reduce the appearance of deeper lines, wrinkles and scars. These are generally applied using phenol or TCA 40%. While more penetrating peels can be very effective for some, we don't prefer them because they cause a lot of irritation leading to a long recovery time and there are potential complications associated with the procedure.

You should know that chemical peels do not change skin pores, do not treat "bags", do not restore sagging and sagging skin (not related to various lifting applications) and do not treat deep acne or chicken pox scars . They also do not treat varicose veins of the face (redness from dilated blood vessels).

The Dermatologist will choose the appropriate solution to be applied depending on the patient's problem, skin type and individual history. There are special peelings that we use on oily skin with active acne, other peelings that we use on skin with discolouration-stains. Also, very thin-dry and aged-atrophic skins need a lot of attention in choosing the right peeling that does not cause great irritation after application.

THE EVOLUTION OF PEELS ARE THE COMBINATION APPLICATIONS:

1) Cleaning the face with an ultrasonic spatula: With this treatment we help the skin to eliminate the excess sebum that is retained. The treatment concerns oily skin with a tendency to acne or patients with active acne. The treatment is painless and suitable even for sensitive skin.

2) Peeling with microcrystals: A system that shoots microcrystals into the outer layers of the skin (epidermis) and epidermal exfoliation is achieved. Exfoliation with microcrystals removes dead skin cells and helps healthy cells come to the surface, improving the appearance and quality of the skin. Ideal for antiaging treatment and whitening treatments.

3) Light chemical peels: indicated for reducing the appearance of fine lines and open, large pores of oily skin, while at the same time lightening the color of freckles, brown spots. They also help to treat acne scars while renewing the skin.

4) The moisturizing mask: which completes the treatment, offers a deep hydration and guarantees that in the following days there will be no great irritation (you go to work comfortably), but only a mild and controlled peeling

Depending on the case, the dermatologist can also suggest a dermatological maintenance treatment for the intervals between the therapeutic sessions-applications to enhance the good result.

This combination application is the latest in the field of peels. The micro-trauma created by microneedling creates "ports of entry" for the chemical peel which achieves a much better penetration into the skin. So we can use milder peels which are completely safe, have very controlled exfoliation and very little skin irritation after application, can be done even in the summer months and have no recovery-recovery time, which with this combined application penetrate deeper and they have a much better effect similar to that of very strong chemical peelings

ServicesThe results of the treatments appear gradually.
