Liposuction with bodyJet

Liposuction using the German Body Jet machine is the most improved development of the conventional liposuction technique, especially when the application is done in small areas with local anesthesia.

This technique is called liposuction with the help of water spray (WaterJetassistedLiposunctionWAL).

It uses the injection (spraying) with high water pressure - specifically, a dilute local anesthetic solution - to achieve a layer-by-layer separation of the adipose tissue completely bloodlessly and without injuring the fat, which is simultaneously aspirated with the same cannula.

The additional advantage is that the Body Jet system has  closed sterile fat collection circuit that sucks! This same, can then be used in lipotransfer applications such as:

  • to restore the volume in the face (filling wrinkles and cheekbones)
  • to increase the volume of the breast and buttocks.

Liposuction with the WAL method excels in quality of liposuction which is done with the usual manual method, as the latter is very traumatic for the patient. It is also highly improved compared to liposuction which is done either with microvibration cannulas or with ultrasound.

BodyJet liposuction

But what are the advantages of the technique? WAL using the bodyjet, compared to all the fat removal methods that exist to date?

  • Minimal injury to the subcutaneous tissue.
  • Minimization of post-operative pain, swelling and bruising.
  • A large reduction in the amount of local anesthetic used is achieved.
  • The postoperative result is HOMOGENEOUS, without superficial skin irregularities.
  • Significant reduction in the duration of surgery.
  • Minimal post-operative pain – most patients return to their daily activities on the second to third day after surgery!

It is worth noting that liposuction using the BodyJet machine gives patients better results as, in the areas of the body that are to undergo fat cell removal, there is no need to inject large amounts of local anesthetic in order to achieve the necessary analgesia. This results in the dermatologist being able to remove the accumulated fat very precisely, without leaving any imperfections.

Does liposuction hurt with BodyJet;

The technique is almost painless. Of course, intraoperatively the anesthesiologist can administer a light intoxication, in cases where he deems it necessary.

In which areas can I perform liposuction with the BodyJet;

The areas of the body from which unwanted fat accumulation can be removed quickly, easily and permanently are:

  • the anterior cervical region (neck)
  • doublechin
  • the arms
  • the anterior abdomen
  • the lateral abdomen (lovehandles)
  • the back
  • the thighs
  • knees and shins

The dermatologist, in collaboration with the patient, jointly decides which of the above areas of the body will be treated at the same time (i.e. at the same surgical time) the unwanted local accumulation of fatty tissue.

Then, the pre-operative photographic documentation of the patient's body image is required, so that the post-operative result can be compared and the effectiveness of the application can be unquestionably documented.

Will I have to be sedated with general anesthesia?

In most cases where small amounts of fat are suctioned, not required general anesthesia. During the surgery, the patient maintains his senses and the ability to communicate with the environment, without but to feel any pain.

In liposuctions where the volume of absorbed fat is more than three liters, for reasons of prevention, the patient remains in the hospital for 24 hours, despite the fact that no incident has been reported on a global scale, with this specific liposuction technique.

After application, a thin compression corset is required for a period of at least four weeks. Most postoperative swelling subsides approximately ten days after surgery and the final result is visible forty-five days after the day of surgery. Post-operative pain and ecchymosis are almost negligible and do not require special medical treatment.

The most frequently asked questions about liposuction using the BodyJet:

How painful is liposuction surgery?

The liposuction procedure because it is performed with the high suction technique and uses the most advanced technological equipment, i.e. very fine cannulas, advanced BodyJet liposuction machine and more, causes minimal tissue injury to the subcutaneous tissue, which entails painless surgery and minimal post-operative pain

-Is liposuction a slimming method?

No, liposuction is body shape correction method, especially for areas where local thickness is very difficult to treat, such as the lateral areas of the abdomen (buns), the outer surface of the thighs, the inner surface of the thighs, the knees, etc.

After how long is the final result visible after liposuction surgery?

The result of the operation is visible even on the first postoperative day.

However, the final result is noticeable six to eight weeks after the operation, as the swelling gradually subsides.

Is liposuction a permanent solution to local obesity?

The human body does not have the ability to produce new fat cells after puberty. During adulthood, excessive calorie consumption leads to hypertrophy (swelling) of existing fat cells.

Therefore, after they are removed from an area of the body, they are not replaced by the body with new ones. This means that the result after liposuction, in that particular area, it is permanent.

-Can liposuction be combined with other operations at the same surgical time?

The operation of liposuction should not be combined with operations that can cause additional significant stress on the body, such as abdominoplasty, breast reduction, etc.

The reason is that the chances of complications - and especially that of pulmonary embolism - increase significantly.

-What is the difference between liposuction and liposuction?

This is exactly the same surgery, with the only difference being that the term "liposuction" is used in cases where liposuction is combined with fat implantation (transplantation).

-What is the most appropriate age for a patient to undergo liposuction surgery?

A patient can undergo liposuction from adolescence up to the age of 65. Limitations can only be set by specific health problems that the patient may be dealing with, as well as by the quality of the skin on the patient's body.

In general, the results are best at young ages, where the elasticity of the skin has not suffered the wear and tear of time.

-When is the result of the specific surgery deemed satisfactory?

The aesthetic result of the specific surgery is considered satisfactory, when it is so natural that the intervention of the dermatologist cannot be perceived.[/et_single][/et_parent][/vc_column][/vc_row]
