Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of alopecia (hair loss from the scalp) for men. It starts with a specific pattern, usually in the temple area, then at the top of the scalp and finally these two areas are joined. Due to heredity but also to the effect of androgens on hereditary "sensitive" hair follicles. There is also androgenetic alopecia that affects women ,has a different evolutionary pattern, but the exact same reasoning.

There is also androgenetic alopecia that affects women ,has a different evolutionary pattern, but the exact same reasoning.
The classic treatments we have are:

  • Dietary supplements with vitamins-trace elements-minerals-amino acids: These offer the "building blocks" of keratin to strengthen the hair (and nails(. So, the hair acquires "volume" and is stronger and healthier. The head that now has better quality hair looks fuller
  • Minoxidil spray or foam: This drug locally inhibits an enzyme in the hair follicle. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into a more aggressive form ,which "kills" the hair.
  • Finasteride pills: They do the same with the minoxidil lotion, but it is even more drastic because it is internal (systematic) treatment.

Autologous mesotherapy (PRP) in the treatment of alopecia - hair loss

PRP is a plasma that contains above 300-350,000 platelets / uL. It is isolated by the process of centrifugation, after taking a small amount of blood from the patient (20 to 40 ml).

PRP treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma) is based on the use of growth factors released by the platelets contained in our blood (induce the release of growth factors from platelets using a special activator solution). These growth factors, are natural components of our body. These are proteins contained in platelets with the property of enhancing the regeneration and regeneration of tissues that are dysfunctional or have been damaged.. Growth factors reactivate adult dormant stem cells in the area (with the ultimate goal of creating new hair follicles), activate the proliferation of cells in the area resulting in better perspiration of the scalp.

The first results that are immediately noticeable are the improvement of the hair quality.

Empowerment is observed, larger diameter (thickening) and length of hair we already have on our scalp.

In this way , our head looks fuller as each hair has a larger volume and has shine and health!

PRP hair loss treatment can be applied to men and women with androgenetic alopecia (tendency to regress and hair loss due to heredity). The results of the method are completely natural, while there are no side effects since the blood of the organism itself is used (autologous process).

In addition the treatment can be applied prophylactically, as it prevents further hair loss, while strengthening the existing ones.

Combines well with existing reputable and effective treatments for androgenetic alopecia such as topical solution or minoxidil foam or oral finasteride.

The application of the method should be repeated every time 4-6 weeks in the first year, and then once a year to maintain the result.
